Gallery Exhibit - Laura Semesky

May and All of June

Gallery Exhibit - Laura Semesky

"I grew up in Maryland, spending my time immersed in nature, fascinated by everything that moves, especially insects. This early curiosity grew into a passion for sharing the often-overlooked world of these incredible creatures. This exhibit showcases insects, arachnids, and other hidden creatures found throughout Maryland and the US. Many of the photographs are taken at the Patuxent Research Refuge, where I have been volunteering since 2023. Alongside my photography, I create bold, graphic illustrations inspired by the insects I observe. This exhibit consists of both art forms, inviting you to discover the weird and wonderful creatures hiding in plain sight.

My nature photography and observations are available at https://www.inaturalist.org/people/shadowmirror

My nature artwork can be found at my website AlternateRealities.Art alongside my horror, fantasy, and scifi illustrations."
