Savannah Weber and Ian Silver-Gorges will discuss their research with loggerhead sea turtles nesting in the northern Gulf of Mexico.
Since 2015, Dr. Mariana Fuentes and her research group, the Marine Turtle Research, Conservation, and Ecology Group (MTRECG) at FSU have conducted long-term monitoring and novel research on the three predominant sea turtle species found in the Gulf of Mexico: green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas), loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta), and Kemp's ridley sea turtles (Lepidochelys kempii).
