Many people are unaware that there are numerous cranberry bogs at the refuge. The crimson berries ripen on low lying vines in late fall in these enchanting and beautiful environments. Learn how cranberry bogs formed in the dunes, who lives there, and how indigenous peoples and early settlers used cranberries. We'll explore the bog and participants will have an opportunity to pick a small amount of cranberries (bag provided) to take home.
Please complete your registration ASAP. Registration will close at 4pm on Wednesday (tomorrow!) due to the holiday. Reminders to registrants will go out tomorrow evening with the meet up location for this program.
