White eyed vireo

A White-eyed vireo (Vireo griseus) was recently seen on Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. They have a pretty song and are not shy about frequently sharing it. Their diet consists mainly of insects and small invertebrates such as butterflies, grasshoppers, flies, caterpillars, spiders and beetles.
