Winter Birds at McNary National Wildlife Refuge
Join us at McNary National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, February 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
See live birds, including Amicus, the beautiful golden eagle, presented by the WSU Raptor Club. Enjoy wildlife films and commentary from videographer Gaylord Mink.
Participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count through guided bird walks led by the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society and refuge staff. Binoculars, spotting scopes and bird guides will be available.
Afterward, join the Friends of the Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges for their Annual Meeting. Food and beverages will be provided and the meeting will conclude by 1:00 PM. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges and is free to the public.
The McNary National Wildlife Refuge Education Center is located at 311 Lake Road in Burbank, WA. From the Tri-Cities, go east on I-182 and US Highway 12 to Burbank. At the Humorist Road stoplight, turn left. Turn left on Lake Road and travel 1/2 mile to the Education Center on the left. For more information, call 509-546-8300.
