Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center to be Closed Friday for Parking Lot Paving
The Visitor Center at Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge will be closed on Friday, September 30 for paving of the newly-expanded parking lot. The Visitor Center will re-open at 10 AM on Saturday, October 1. For more information about the temporary closure, please contact (208) 467-9278 or deerflat@fws.gov.

Re-paving and expansion of the parking lot are being done in association with an addition to the Refuge headquarters building. The addition will provide much-needed office and storage space for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service staff. Northern Management Services, Inc, headquartered in Sand Point, Idaho broke ground on the addition in May and expects to be finished next month. These projects are not related to the Comprehensive Conservation Planning process currently underway at the Refuge.
