Celebrate Spring at McNary National Wildlife Refuge

Celebrate Spring at McNary National Wildlife Refuge
Wish you could fly, soar, and swoop like a bird? Experience the lift, drag, and thrust of bird flight by flying your own home-made kite in the spring breeze. Join us at McNary National Wildlife Refuge for Second Saturday on Saturday, March 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Kite making and test flying will be led by kite master, Greg Greger. He will give kite making instructions promptly at 9:00 a.m. with kite making and test flights following instruction. A small donation of $1 will cover the cost of all your materials. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges.

The McNary National Wildlife Refuge is located at 64 Maple Street in Burbank, WA. From the Tri-Cities, go east on I-182 and US Highway 12 to Burbank. At the Humorist Road stoplight, turn left.
