The Havasu National Wildlife Refuge is seeking assistance from the public concerning the wildfire that charred more than 300 acres north of Interstate 40 in the Sacramento Wash area. The wildfire was first reported north of the Topock Marina along historic Route 66. It began on Sept. 29 and burned through early Oct.
If you have information concerning the possible cause of the fire, please contact the Interagency Dispatch Center at 1-800 637-9152.
Note, this number is not to be used as an emergency number for any incident requiring immediate fire, police or medical response. Those types of calls should be properly made via the 911 system.
