On Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Anchorage Regional Office (1011 East Tudor Road), Regional Director, Tom Melius will host a brief presentation to thank five individuals and organizations who were instrumental in assisting in the transportation and rehabilitation of 30 Kodiak bald eagles. The birds were injured on January 11, 2008 when they eagles flew into a truckload of fish waste at Ocean Beauty Seafoods.
Attending will be representatives from Alaska Airlines, ERA Aviation, International Bird Rescue Research Center, Bird Treatment and Learning Center, and Kodiak Veterinarians Angie and Steve Jackson.
Bird TLC will bring a live educational bald eagle.
