Comprehensive Conservation Plan Approved for Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director H. Dale Hall has endorsed a long-term comprehensive conservation plan for managing wildlife, habitats, and public use programs at the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in Wells, Maine.
"The comprehensive conservation plan will guide us in achieving our vision and management goals for the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. I greatly appreciate the significant information and insights we received from visitors, neighbors, refuge users, scientists, refuge and other Service employees, and other stakeholders in developing the plan," said Marvin Moriarty, northeast regional director for the Service.
