Federal Duck Stamp Program Unveils Marketing Plan for 2007-2008

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services Federal Duck Stamp Program today announced the marketing plan for the 2007-2008 Artist-signed Pane of One, a value-added Duck Stamp product first offered for sale in 2005.

In 2005, the Duck Stamp Program produced 1,000 sheetlets, each selling for $20. The new product quickly sold out and in 2006, the program offered 10,000 sheetlets, each selling for $25.

Produced on small format paper, each Artist-signed Pane of One incorporates a single perforated Federal Duck Stamp and the artists signature. This value-added product is released primarily for sale to stamp collectors.

In 2007, the Federal Duck Stamp Program will offer 10,000 of the Artist-signed Pane of One for sale, each selling for $25 and featuring a pair of ring-necked ducks by Delaware artist Richard Clifton, who will sign each one.

Sales procedures for the 2007-2008 Artist-signed Pane of One are as follows:

  • Only the Federal Duck Stamp Programs Fulfillment Center will sell the 2007-2008 Artist-signed Pane of One. Order forms will be published and available for downloading at http://www.duckstamp.com ; from the Duck Stamp Programs homepage at http://www.fws.gov/duckstamps/ ; from philatelic publications; and various partner organizations.
  • The United States Postal Service will not sell the 2007-2008 Artist-signed Pane of One.
  • The purchase limit will be one pane per person with a limit of two people per address.
  • Only this official order form will be accepted as valid. Any order not submitted on this form will be voided and enclosed payment returned to sender.
  • Duplicate orders will be voided and enclosed payment returned to sender.
  • Forms must be postmarked no earlier than June 22, 2007; orders received with earlier postmarks will not be filled. Return to sender express mail packages will be accepted only if the shipping date of June 22, 2007 is documented on the shipping label and invoice.
  • Mail orders with payment enclosed will be honored but payment must be by cashiers check, personal check or money order. No cash or credit or debit card orders will be accepted. If correct payment is not included, the order will be voided.
  • Correctly postmarked official order forms containing the required method of payment will be honored on a first-come-first-served basis until all 10,000 items are sold. Once the 10,000 orders have been fulfilled, any unfilled orders will be returned to sender.
  • The fulfillment center will carefully screen all orders and cancel any duplicate orders or any orders exceeding two per address. Again, any enclosed payment will be returned to sender.
  • On January 31, 2008, any remaining sheetlets of the 2007-2008 Artist-signed Pane of One will be offered for sale for $25 each through the Federal Duck Stamp Program's Fulfillment Center until the supply has been exhausted; there will be no limits or restrictions on orders. For this sale, the Fulfillment Center will accept both telephone orders and payment by credit or debit cards.
