Public Input Sought on Draft Environmental Assessment for Construction at Toledos Glass City Municipal Marina and Marine Passenger Terminal

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking public comment on a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Glass City Municipal Marina and Marine Passenger Terminal in Toledo, Ohio.

The EA proposes to construct a full service marina that will provide docking for both seasonal and transient boaters in addition to providing a safe harbor on the lower Maumee River. The marina proposes to add slips, provide electric hookups, a fueling station and pumpout facility.

The project is proposed by the City of Toledo and the Ohio Division of Watercraft for funding through the Boating Infrastructure Grant Program (Sport Fish Restoration Act), which the Fish and Wildlife Service administers. Projects funded by the Service are required to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act and other associated federal requirements including the Historic Preservation Act and the Endangered Species Act.
