June 15 - Reserve, NM, at the Reserve Community Center; 6 to 9 p.m.
June 16 - Silver City, NM, at the NM National Guard Armory located on U.S. Highway 180 in Bayard; 6 to 9 p.m.
June 17 - Truth or Consequences, NM, at the Commission Chambers located at 405 W. 3rd in T or C; 6 to 9 p.m.
June 18 -Albuquerque, NM, at the U.S. Forest Service Regional Office located at 333 Broadway S.E. (corner of Lead & Broadway); 9 a.m. to Noon
June 28 -Phoenix, AZ, at the Arizona Game and Fish Dept. Wildlife Building on the Maricopa County Fairgrounds located at 19th Ave. and McDowell; 6 to 9 p.m.
June 29 -Hon Dah, AZ, at the Hon Dah Conference Center (Salt River Room) located east of Pinetop at the junction of State Hwys 73 and 260; Noon to 3 p.m.
June 29 -Alpine, AZ, at the old Alpine Elementary School located on U.S. Highway 180 in Alpine; 6 to 9 p.m.
June 30 -Morenci, AZ, at the Morenci Club (next to Basha's Grocery in the Morenci Plaza); Noon to 3 p.m.
Note -Meetings will be adjourned early if business is completed.
Participants: These meetings are open to the public. County, federal, state and tribal agency cooperators involved in the Reintroduction Project will be represented.
Purpose: Public meetings for the Adaptive Management Work Group are part of an ongoing process and commitment by project cooperators to keep the public informed on issues and actions pertaining to the Blue Range Mexican Wolf Reintroduction Project. The primary purpose of these June public meetings is to afford opportunities for the public to learn about and to comment on the Five year >Review of the Blue Range Mexican Wolf Reintroduction Project, Standard Operating Procedures that guide the Project, and a Proposed One-year Moratorium on New Releases of Captive Wolves. Mexican Wolf Adaptive Management Oversight Committee (AMOC) members will consider the oral comment at these meetings, but formal public comment must be submitted in writing, as indicated below (i.e., oral testimony at the meetings will not be recorded).
Agenda: A detailed agenda will be available at each meeting. Discussion topics will include, but are not limited to:
MT-Five-year Review of the Reintroduction Project
MT-Five Standard Operating Procedures that guide the Reintroduction Project
MT-Proposed one-year moratorium on new releases of captive Mexican wolves
Structure: At each meeting, AMOC will make a 30-minute presentation on the three topics, after which the public will be given the opportunity, during a 2
