INTERIOR SECRETARY NORTON TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT ON STATUS OF GRAY WOLF

On Friday, July 16, 2004, at 10 a.m., Department of the Interior Secretary Gale Norton and Assistant Secretary Craig Manson will join officials with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and partners in wolf recovery to discuss the status of the gray wolf in the eastern United States. Members of the media are invited to attend; the event will take place at the Wildlife Science Center in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Wolf experts from the Service and other agencies will be on hand to answer questions, and photo opportunities will be available.
