SERVICE TO CONSIDER LISTING MIDVALLEY FAIRY SHRIMP

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced today that it will move ahead with a detailed review of the midvalley fairy shrimp. The Service, completing an initial, 90-day review under the Endangered Species Act, decided a petition by the Center for Biological Diversity and VernalPools.org presented substantial information to indicate that listing may be warranted.
