Public Comment Period for Proposed Critical Habitat on Guam and Rota Reopened
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has reopened the public comment period on its proposal to designate critical habitat for the Mariana fruit bat, Guam Micronesian kingfisher, and Mariana crow on the of Guam and for the Mariana crow on Rota until February 18. The original deadline for comments on the proposed rule and its associated draft economic analysis was January
"We recognize the people of Guam and Rota are struggling to recover from Typhoon Pongsona and have not had time to look at something like a draft economic analysis," said Paul Henson, field supervisor for the Fish and Wildlife Service
