U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE AWARDS $68 MILLION IN GRANTS TO 16 STATES FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES HABITAT CONSERVATION PLANNING AND HABITAT ACQUISITION PROJECTS
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service today awarded $68 million in grants to16 states and a Pacific commonwealth to support conservation planning and acquisition of vital habitat for threatened and endangered fish and wildlife species. The grants will benefit species ranging from Red-cockaded Woodpeckers in Georgia to the Mariana Crow in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
