Willamette Daisy

Willamette daisy (Erigeron decumbens) is a perennial endemic plant found in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, federally listed as endangered in 2000. The species is found in early seral upland prairie, wet prairie, and oak savannas that have a mosaic of low-growing vegetation, undisturbed soils, and lack of dense canopy. The species is characterized by pale purple flowers with yellow disks, and a grass-like leaf structure that grows in clumps similar to bunchgrasses.
