At maturity, fronds are only 4 to 30 cm (1.6 to 11.8 in) long, often densely clustered, up to 35 per plant including old fronds. Fronds are glabrous to moderately glandular and fertile when very small. Stipes are thin, less than 0.5 mm (0.02 in) in diameter at the base. Blades are linear- to oblong-lanceolate, 2- to 3-pinnate, with winged rachises. The ultimate segments are 0.5 by 1.4 mm (0.02 by 0.06 in). Sori are marginal to submarginal with small indusia.
