A man waist deep in water holding a silver fish and his fishing rod

Refuge waters, including the Patoka River, South Fork and adjacent oxbow and overflow wetlands such as Snakey Point and Buck marshes, offer excellent fishing for largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and redear sunfish. Fishing is allowed 24 hours, except at the Columbia Mine Unit fishing is permitted from half-hour before legal sunrise to half-hour after legal sunset. See the refuge hunting and fishing brochure for additional details.
