Green River National Wildlife Refuge, has limited hunting opportunities at this time due to safety concerns. As the refuge acquires more land, more opportunities are expected to be permitted.
Individuals 16-years-old or older and participating in hunting activities on the refuge, who are required to have a Kentucky State hunting/fishing license, must also have a refuge annual hunt permit.

Annual refuge hunt permits can be obtained at RecAccess. The following fee structure is in place for annual hunt permits:

| Age 65 and Over | $10 |
| Active Military/Veterans | $10 |
