Waterfowl Hunts

Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge will hold 2020/2021 waterfowl hunts as scheduled, but with two notable changes. These changes were made to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19. The first is a random pre-assignment of blinds. After the refuge's normal random draw for hunt dates, a second draw was conducted to assign blinds to each hunter drawn for a hunt. Pre-assignment of blinds will allow implementation of a "curbside" check-in and check-out. The second change involves standby hunts. In previous years, hunts unclaimed from the normal random draw were distributed to hunters present the morning of each hunt by standby draw. This year, any blinds unclaimed after the deadline for hunters to reserve their hunt will be filled by a second random draw from the pool of submitted applications. Essentially, every available slot will be filled with a permitted hunter and no standbys will be assigned the morning of the hunt. Confirmed hunters will receive all the information needed prior to their hunt.

New Hunt/Fish Opportunities

The New Hunt Program Changes as of August 31, 2020. Eufaula NWR has made changes to the hunt program in the Final 2020-2021 Station-Specific Hunting and Sport Fishing Regulations process.
