Rematriating Rinihmu Pulte’irekne: The Return of Indigenous Lands to Indigenous Hands CART Case Study Handout

The Sogorea Te’ Land Trust works with The Confederated Villages of the Lisjan Nation to facilitate land returns to Tribes without federal recognition. In Oakland, California, the Land Trust established a Cultural Conservation Easement to regain responsibility for a local cultural site, expanding the tools available to acquire and access Tribal land.
