Freshwater drum

The freshwater drum is known for its noise. Males make a grunting or rumbling sounds during breeding season to attract females. Locally many anglers refer to them as "sheepshead." Freshwater drum like turbid water and inhabit slow to moderate current over sand or mud bottoms.
