Four to five Venus flytrap plants growing on the forest floor, in their natural habitat. Venus flytrap is a perennial plant that blooms year after year in May and June. Their flowers stalks stand 8 to 12 inches tall, well above the trap shaped leaves so they don't catch the same species of insects that pollinate their flowers. By Dale Suiter, June 15, 2016
