Projects which occur entirely within the Community Footprint (new projects 1 and 4) are covered by the Alaska Communities Determination Key (DKey) standing analysis and qualify for the DKey. Projects which extend beyond the existing community footprint (new project 2 and 3) are not covered by this standing analysis and do not qualify for the DKey. New project 2 does not qualify because the action area is not entirely located within the community footprint. New project 3 does not qualify because the community footprint does not include roads extending more than 200 meters beyond existing structures.
