The 100th meridian initiative: a strategic approach to prevent the westward spread of zebra mussels and other aquatic nuisance species

This is a plan to prevent zebra mussels and other aquatic nuisance species from spreading westward. This document includes background on the issue, including the current and potential impacts, ecological, economic and otherwise, the spread of these species could incur. It also includes the considerations for preventing a westward spread, the initiative itself, and the operational needs and estimated costs of the program.
