How to Search for Documents
To see all Federal Register documents, including proposed rules and notices, that are open for public comment, select the Open for Comment checkbox.
Use the Keyword Search to search document titles and abstracts for specific terms. Note, this search is not full text; it only returns results where the specified keyword(s) appears in the document title or in the abstract summary.
Use the Subject drop down menu to find all documents within a specific category. Note, subjects are organized in descending order based on the number of documents with that subject. Use Document Type selections to further narrow search results by action.
Use the Start Date and End Date to find documents by the Federal Register publication date information. These fields are also helpful to narrow search results generated using the Keyword Search or Subject options.
