Join us for our free, family-friendly 27th Annual Wildlife Festival on October 1st from 10 am to 2 pm! The festival will include many booths set along the packed granite trails at the Oak Savanna Learning Center. Make sure to check out the engaging, hands-on activities including: try your hand at the BB gun range, help clean native seed, learn about Native American culture, test your home nitrate levels, observe live animals and investigate aquatic invertebrates! Several refuge service roads will be open to vehicle traffic during the event to provide visitors a rare opportunity to see areas of the refuge that are not typically open to vehicles. Two local food trucks will be on-site to serve a variety of food at a reasonable cost.
