Join us to celebrate the spring season at the free Spring Birding and Phenology event, hosted by the Friends of Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge! This drop-in style event will be mostly outdoors and will feature access to the exhibits in the Visitor Center from 8 am to 9:30 am. Meet at 9 am at the Visitor Center for Birding and Spring Phenology Tours lead by Judd Brink - MN Birding Guide, Pam Perry - Retired MN Non-game Wildlife Specialist, John Latimer - phenology expert from KAXE radio, and others until noon. We invite you to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at Twin Lakes where the wildflower hike and nature photography excursion will begin after lunch.
