National Trails Day Hike

Join the North Country Trail Laurentian Chapter and meet at 12:30 at the Visitor Center parking lot. We will carpool over to Blackbird Drive and hike east towards 400th Ave. This is an in and out hike so participants can hike as far as they would like and then return to their cars. One to nine miles are possible. This area features crossing a dam over the Otter Tail River, mixed pine and deciduous forest and views of Chippewa and Johnson Lakes. You'll see yellow lady slippers, columbine, Canada anemone, yellow bellwort, and more. Get out on the trails before the bugs do!
