The Muscatatuck Fishing Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 am to 2 pm around the Visitor Center grounds and at Discovery Pond. The event will feature fly-fishing and fly-tying demonstrations given by the Indianapolis Fly Casters, childrens fishing games and crafts, cane-pole making, exhibits by area conservation organizations, and "How to Fish" lessons with all equipment provided. The event is free and the family-friendly festival will be held on a "free fishing" day in Indiana when no fishing license is required for anyone.
