Cut down woody invasive species invasive species
An invasive species is any plant or animal that has spread or been introduced into a new area where they are, or could, cause harm to the environment, economy, or human, animal, or plant health. Their unwelcome presence can destroy ecosystems and cost millions of dollars.
Learn more about invasive species around DRIWR's Humbug Marsh Orange Trail. Volunteers will use loppers, hand saws, and power tools to cut down invasive shrub species.
Please bring water, close-toed shoes, long sleeve shirt, long pants, a hat, work gloves, and snacks.
DRIWR will provide bug spray, sunscreen, eye protection, first aid kit, tools, and water for refill.
