With Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge covering over 14,000 acres, there are more than 45 miles of trails to discover! Join us for our Intro to Hiking series as we explore the trails together. No prior experience needed, and no special equipment required.

Location: Carver Riverside Park - 300 E Main St, Carver, MN 55315
Registration Information: 10 walk in spots available and 15 spots open for voluntary registration through Signup.com.
Activity Level: Medium-active, we will walk a good walking pace and make some stops.
Meet Us: Meet us at the refuge kiosk near the boat launch at Riverside Park in Carver.
What to Bring: Good walking shoes, water, and bug spray/sunscreen if you have it. Monitor weather forecast and be prepared for the temperature and precipitation. A cancellation notice will be sent via email to registered participants in the event of severe weather. If you are not registered, please monitor our website, SignUp, or MeetUp page.
Accessibility: No restrooms or water available at trailhead. This trail is mostly flat, and we will walk up to 3.5 miles.
Program Leader: This program is led by refuge staff.
