Join us in celebrating three local muralists and their artistic contributions to the refuge! This family friendly event will feature artist talks from Emma Regnier, Miguel Almeida, and Julia Green as well as yummy coffee and pastries and an optional art activity. Get a closer look at the three murals in front of the visitor center that highlight Deer Flat’s unique role as an Urban Wildlife Refuge and our mission to improve access to green spaces, environmental education, and outdoor recreation for people living in and around cities, with the overarching mission of conservation through community. A huge thank you to the Friends of Deer Flat for making this community centered art initiative possible!
