The Monomoy Lighthouse tower and keeper's house on South Monomoy Island will be open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday June 15 and Sunday June 16. Knowledgeable volunteers will be there to talk about the history of lighthouse, the fishing village, and lifesaving stations that once occupied the island. There are posters and artifacts to see as well.
We were planning to open on Friday as well, however the weather is not expected to be good for getting our staff and volunteers out there on Friday.
We are not able to provide transportation for this event.
