With Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge covering over 14,000 acres, there are more than 45 miles of trails to discover! Join us on our beginner hiker series as we explore the trails together. No prior experience needed and no special equipment required.

Registration Information: 10 walk in spots available and 15 spots open for voluntary registration through SignUp
Activity Level: Medium-active, we will walk at a good walking pace and make some stops.
Meet Us: Meet us at the Old Cedar Avenue pavilion.
What to Bring: Good walking shoes, water, and bug spray/sunscreen if you have it. Monitor weather forecast and be prepared for the temperature and precipitation. A cancellation notice will be sent via email to registered participants in the event of severe weather please monitor our website, MeetUp and Facebook pages for a cancellation notice.
Accessibility: A portable restroom is available at the Old Cedar Avenue pavilion. This walk takes place on mostly flat ground on paved trails, wooden boardwalks, and natural surface paths. Depending on seasonal trail conditions, natural surface paths may not be suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Very few benches or rest areas exist along the route, though the parking lot is a short distance away and provides a shaded seating area.
