Amazing River Otters

Join us for an engaging presentation all about one of North America’s most playful and fascinating mammals - the North American river otter! We’ll explore how these sleek swimmers survive in wetlands, what they eat, how they raise their young, and the incredible adaptations that make them perfectly suited for life in the water. We’ll also take a closer look at river otter sightings at Iroquois NWR and what their presence tells us about the health of our wetlands and waterways. Learn how to spot signs of otters in the wild and discover why protected places like national wildlife refuges are so important for species like these. Whether you’re an otter enthusiast, wildlife watcher, or just curious about the animals that call the refuge home, this program is sure to make a splash!
