The last lecture in the Summer Lecture Series is Wednesday, August 24 at 7:00 p.m. We will be hosting refuge volunteer, botanist, and educator Bill Arensmeyer as he presents on Poisonous and Edible Mushrooms of Washington.
Bill will be going over the biology of mushrooms, safe identification of mushrooms, how to use simple mushroom keys, and edible and poisonous mushrooms. There will be handouts and some hands-on anatomy and ID of mushrooms!
Masking is highly recommended in the Norm Dicks Visitor Center. Lectures are limited to 50 attendees on a first come, first served basis. A special thank you to Friends of the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge Complex for hosting the Summer Lecture Series!
