2019 California Junior Duck Stamp Award Ceremony

WHAT:       The winners of the Federal Junior Duck Stamp contest will be at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge in Willows, Calif.

WHO:         One hundred and twelve winners from across California were invited to receive their awards. At least 30 winners will attend.

WHEN:       Open to the public Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – noon.

WHERE:    At the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge in Willows, Calif.

WHY:         In 2019, almost 2,500 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade participated in this prestigious contest in California.

VISUALS:  This event provides an excellent opportunity for news media to highlight artwork created by kindergarten through 12th grade students from across the state. Families will have the opportunity to explore the refuge and play games. Students will receive plaques and awards starting around 11 a.m.
