Owls at McNary National Wildlife Refuge
Observe live owls close up! Discover the secrets of owl eyes, feet, ears, and how they can fly noiselessly. Learn what owls eat by dissecting owl pellets. Hear presentations on the mysteries of owls by Blue Mountain Wildlife, and on burrowing owls by biologist Heidi Newsome.
Join us at McNary National Wildlife Refuge for Second Saturday on Saturday, November 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges and is free to the public.
The McNary National Wildlife Refuge Education Center is located at 311 Lake Road in Burbank, WA. From the Tri-Cities, go east on I-182 and US Highway 12 to Burbank. At the Humorist Road stoplight, turn left. Turn left on Lake Road and travel 1/2 mile to the Education Center on the left. For more information, call (509) 546-8300.
