Coral Reef Task Force and South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force Meeting Rescheduled
The U.S. Department of Interior and the U.S. Department of Commerce announced today that the 12th biannual meeting of the United States Coral Reef Task Force and associated symposia, and the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force meeting scheduled for September 13-15 in Miami, Fl., have been postponed due to concerns for public safety resulting from Hurricane Ivan's potential landfall in Florida.
The Departments of Interior and Commerce serve as co-chairs of the interagency group which is charged with helping lead United States efforts to protect and manage valuable coral reef ecosystems in the U.S and internationally.
The meetings will be rescheduled for a later date.
