About Michael Schramm

Michael earned a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Miami Univisity (Ohio) in 1997. He began a federal career in 2005 with the National Park Service at Grand Canyon National Park, where he worked for six years before switching to the US Fish and Wildlife Service at Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in Olympia, Washington. He has been the Visitor Service Manager at Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge in Williamstown, West Virginia since 2017.  Michael has thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail, and served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Kazakhstan.
