About Lauren Sarantopulos

Lauren or “Ren” as many call her, started as a biological technician for the Western Washington FWCO in 2023. She primarily works on the ongoing fish ecology projects in the Lake Washington basin, focusing on juvenile salmon predation studies. Prior to Washington, Ren worked as a crew lead for the Yellowstone National Park fisheries program targeting cutthroat trout conservation. She has also worked on several projects in the Grand Canyon for Colorado River fish research and monitoring. In her free time, Ren enjoys backpacking, climbing, rafting and painting wildlife.
