About Kaitlyn Howell

Kaitlyn (she/her) is a biologist in the Ecological Services Program. She received her Ph.D. in Biology, with a focus on Evolutionary Ecology, from the University of Texas at Arlington. Kaitlyn’s interest in conservation was sparked by her love of the outdoors and shaped by her experience in ecological research. Prior to joining the Southern Alaska Field Office, Kaitlyn worked with the USFWS Carlsbad Fish and Wildlife Office, Listing and Recovery Division as part of the Directorate Fellows Program.
