Irina Trukhanova

About Irina Trukhanova

Irina works as a contracting wildlife biologist for the FWS Marine Mammals Management Walrus Program and Polar Bear Program. She has served as a Russian-U.S. Scientific Liaison and supported international polar bear and walrus research activities. Irina has PhD and MS degrees in Ecology from St. Petersburg State University. Prior to joining FWS Marine Mammals Management, Irina worked at the University of Washington Polar Science Center and the NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center Marine Mammal Laboratory.
