Aiviq Ernest Nageak

Pagalagivsi! (Greetings in Inupiaq language)

I'm Aiviq Ernest Nageak, born and raised in Barrow, Alaska (now known as Utqiaġvik). As an Alaska Native Affairs Specialist for the North Slope Barrow Field Office, I work closely with local wildlife entities and community members to ensure our hunting traditions continue for years to come. I help tag Marine Mammals in our region and am also a member of the teaching cadre for our Alaska Native Relations Training. I received my Associates of Arts degree here in my hometown at our Tribal Ilisagvik College. I enjoy working with Wildlife but also love going out camping, whaling and doing anything outdoors.
