An easy half mile, the Main Trail trail leads visitors through the forest to an overlook on the bluff above Dungeness Spit. The Primitive Trail offers a less traveled alternative to the busy Main Trail but can be muddy and impassible during the wet season. The trail continues down a steep hill to the Spit and becomes a rugged five mile beach walk to the lighthouse. The total distance from the parking area (entrance station) to the lighthouse is approxiamtely 11 miles roundtrip. Please stay on the designated trails.
