In collaboration with the Summit Lake Paiute Tribe and Nevada Department of Wildlife, this project will reduce cover of invasive annual grasses with herbicide application, and native seeding when needed, that will improve overall rangeland conditions in and around core sagebrush sagebrush
The western United States’ sagebrush country encompasses over 175 million acres of public and private lands. The sagebrush landscape provides many benefits to our rural economies and communities, and it serves as crucial habitat for a diversity of wildlife, including the iconic greater sage-grouse and over 350 other species.

habitats in northwestern Nevada on Tribal, Bureau of Land Management, and National Wildlife Refuge lands. Sagebrush habitat quality will be increased, wildland fire risk decreased, while defending these core sagebrush habitat areas.
