Kerr McGee Natural Resource Trustees Announce Extension of Comment Period for the Scoping Document for Restoration Planning

In consideration of requests from the public for additional time to review and comment, the Natural Resources Trustees for the Kerr McGee Chemical Corporation Superfund Site in Navassa, N.C. have extended the comment period for the Scoping Document for Restoration Planning that was released to the public on August 4th 2015. 

Comments will be accepted through November 4, 2015.

The scoping document details the environmental injuries from the wood treatment operation in Navassa, a small town in southeastern North Carolina. The scoping document also describes concepts for restoring the resources, criteria for identifying suitable restoration projects, and an explanation of the restoration planning process.
